I started my Nurse training in 1985 at Nottingham City Hospital and qualified as a Staff Nurse in 1988.

 

I qualified as a Midwife in 1990 after training at Birmingham Women's Hospital. Since then I have worked both in the Community, as well as at many of the local hospitals including Sorrento, Solihull, Burton on Trent, Good Hope and Heartlands where I was a Labour Ward Manager for many years. I also worked in the Caribbean as a Midwife for five years and following this I worked at the Perinatal Institute as a Project Midwife.

 

I am currently working as a Legacy Midwife at University Hospital's Birmingham providing support and guidance to newly qualified midwives which I see as a lovely way to complete a truly amazing career working with moms and babies.

 

I was a Registered Nurse for 30 years, and am a Registered Midwife with 34  years experience. I am also an approved Paediatric First Aid Trainer.

 

I am committed to offering professionally run, fun and supportive Baby Classes that stand out from the rest with all my classes having a "Question and Answer" section to reassure new moms with any concerns they may have and where no question is too small or too silly to ask.
